3 Ways to Resist Black Friday
Black Friday Temptation comes around like clockwork, year after year. Closely followed by Cyber Monday, Christmas pre-Sales, post-Sales, Spring Sales, and more..!
I know that the temptation is strong to buy – your emails, social feeds and TV are flooded with adverts from retailers convincing you that you need the latest X,Y,Z. But do you really need them?
Follow these 3 tips in the run up to Black Friday (and other key sales dates)
1. Online Shopping?
By all means browse and choose some things you like the look of, but leave them in your virtual shopping basket for 24hours before proceeding to click and pay. You may feel differently about those items in the cold light of a new day.
2. Shopping In Person?
Head out to the shops with a list of your Black Friday offers and which shops you plan to visit. Try to stick to the list – don’t be tempted by random things that you spot whilst out – remember that many items are positioned right at eye level for a reason!
3. Is it really a bargain?
Just because something is half price on Black Friday, you don’t have to buy it! Ask yourself “Do I want or need it? Do I already have something similar? When will I use it? Where will I store it?” Think 50% off -v- 100% saved!
If your home is filled with Amazon packages, online shopping parcels and more, and you feel a little overwhelmed with it all it’s time to get in touch! I’ll help you to review and assess the things you already have, whether they have a place in your life and a space in your home, and advise on how to move things on if you decide they’re not for you.
Keep an eye on my Instagram feed for ideas too. Better to have your money in your pocket, rather than tied up in something you have no need for!
