Presenting at the Ideal Home Show Manchester 2015

I was delighted to be asked by the Ideal Home Show Manchester to present on stage in their Ideal Super Theatre when the show visited Manchester in early June this year.

With the opening day excitement, the sun shone at its fullest, welcoming several thousand visitors through the doors, to view the room sets, see fabulous products, to buy food and gifts and of course to pick up ideas and inspiration from the exhibitors and presenters at the show.

After Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen had talked about all things ‘Colour’ and prior to Amanda Lamb talking about ‘How to make a House a Home’, I stepped onto the stage to ask ‘Is Clutter Cramping Your Style?’.

I had a full audience for my 45 minute slot, where I shared the secrets to identifying, dealing with and reducing clutter in the home and to provide tips on storing a number of household items, including clothing, bedding, desk/workspace items and kitchen gadgets, amongst others.

It was great to speak on a 1-2-1 basis with visitors afterwards too – both with locals and from those who had travelled from further afield.   I was able to offer both my 1-2-1 hands on help service and my virtual organising service to them; perfect for anyone who wants a helping hand to get the job done, or for those who prefer to ‘go it alone’ in decluttering in their own homes, or who perhaps live outside of my working area, yet still need some help.  Being accountable to another person is often key – sometimes it’s not enough to make a promise to ourselves.  Saying it out loud, makes it real!
